Simmer Eats

Simmer Eats is a chilled prepared-meal subscription with three portion sizes and full macros on every meal.

From £7.49 a meal

Description

Quick take: Simmer Eats suits people who want chilled meals for the working week and like to see calories and macros before they order. It is closer to meal prep than to a recipe box: nothing to cook, only to heat.

Best for: weekday lunches and dinners for one, people tracking calories or protein, and anyone who wants to freeze part of the delivery.

Watch out for: it is a weekly subscription with a six-meal minimum and a delivery fee on every order. The weekly menu has around a dozen dishes, so regular customers will see repeats.

Price: meals start from £7.49 each, with plans of 6, 8, 10 or 12 meals a week. Simmer’s current FAQ gives the delivery fee as £7.99, while an older help article says £6.99, so check the amount at checkout.

Useful next steps: compare prepared meal services, meal boxes for one person and how we review.
